April 1, 2026, Business Meeting Minutes

The District 04 MSCA 09 business meeting from April 1, 2026, covered several key organizational updates, elections, and financial decisions:

● Elections & Appointments:
  ○ Don O. was unanimously voted in as the new District Secretary.
  ○ Angela stood for and was voted in as the GSR School chair
  ○ Matthew was voted in as the Website Committee chair
  ○ Chandler was voted in as the LGBTQ+ DCM.

● Delegate’s Report:
  ○ Debra discussed the upcoming general service conference, gave tutorials on finding background information on the area website, and emphasized the importance of filling out the agenda survey by April 20th.

● Financial Decisions:
  ○ The 2026 Budget was officially passed. However, a motion to “Pass the Hat” did not pass, resulting in a friendly amendment to remove the projected “pass the hat” yearly contribution from the budget.

● Committee Updates:
  ○ The registrar reminded new GSRs to complete the New GSR form.
  ○ The Public Information chair shared updates on recent and upcoming outreach visits
  ○ The Website chair highlighted new user-friendly navigation tools added to the site.

The next Area Service Committee (ASC) meeting was announced for April 12th in Laguna Niguel.
