Sunday – April 13 – 8 am to 3 pm – Day 2 is the Pre-Conference Mock Conference Assembly
The Pre-Mock Conference Workshop is a day where everyone involved has the fun opportunity to act like a delegate for the day and deliberate on agenda items “in committee” – just like our delegate will do at the General Service Conference from April 27 to May 3!
GSRs and AA individuals are randomly assigned 1 of 6 committees on the day of the event, and DCMCs and Area Chairs are pre-assigned to 1 of the 6 committees that was discussed at the March Area Service Committee. (Reminder: GSRs who attended the March ASC and were assigned a committee breakout will join the same committee on April 13). The outcome of this assembly will allow the delegate to know “Area 9’s group conscience” as discussed through the work group committees. Scribes of the Workgroup assignments will provide the committee’s recommendation via the Survey Monkey/Workgroup packet and share this information at the microphone. Workgroups will also have the opportunity to discuss three pre-assigned General Service Conference inventory questions (English – HERE Spanish – HERE) and discuss the motion to approve the Spanish Translation of The Plain Language Big Book.
